How can we help?

Quick answers about Edgewise Pro, the free trial, your data and the app. Still stuck? Email support@edgewiseapp.co.

01

Edgewise Pro and billing

Apple handles every payment, so a few of these answers send you to your Apple Account.

How do I restore my purchase?

Open Edgewise, tap the gear icon on the Train tab to open Settings, then tap Restore purchases in the Edgewise Pro section. You can also tap Restore Purchases at the bottom of the Pro screen.

Your device needs to be signed in to the App Store with the same Apple Account you used to buy Pro. If Edgewise says “No purchases found”, sign in with the Apple Account you used, then try again.

How do I cancel or manage my subscription?

In Edgewise, go to Settings → Manage subscription. Or, on your iPhone or iPad, open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions and choose Edgewise Pro.

Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date to avoid being charged for the next period. You keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Can I switch between Monthly, Yearly and Lifetime?

Yes. To move between Monthly and Yearly, open your subscription in Subscriptions (see above) and pick the other plan. Apple decides when the change takes effect: moving up to Yearly usually starts straight away with a prorated refund for the unused part of your month, and moving to Monthly starts at your next renewal.

If you buy Lifetime while you have a subscription, cancel the subscription in Subscriptions. Buying Lifetime does not stop it renewing.

How do I get a refund?

Apple processes all payments for Edgewise, so refunds are requested from Apple. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple Account, choose to request a refund and select your Edgewise purchase. Apple reviews every request under its own policies.

We cannot see your payment details or issue refunds ourselves, but we are happy to help if something went wrong.

Does Edgewise Pro work with Family Sharing?

Yes, where Apple’s Family Sharing is available for Edgewise Pro. If your family shares purchases, members of your family group can use Pro on their own devices with their own Apple Account. If Pro does not appear for them, they can open Edgewise and tap Settings → Restore purchases.

Why is the price different in my country?

Apple sets prices in local currency for each country or region, and they may include local taxes, so they vary. In the US, Pro costs $39.99 a year (with a one-week free trial for new subscribers), $7.99 a month, or $79.99 once for Lifetime. The app always shows your local price before you buy.

02

The free trial

One week of Pro, free, with a reminder before it ends.

How does the free trial work?

New subscribers to the Yearly plan get the first week free. If you cancel at least 24 hours before the week ends, you are not charged. If you do not cancel, the trial becomes a yearly subscription at the price shown when you started, charged to your Apple Account.

Apple decides who is eligible: each Apple Account can usually get the trial once. If you allow notifications, Edgewise reminds you two days before the trial ends.

I didn’t get the trial reminder

Edgewise sets the reminder on your device when you start the trial, and again whenever you open the app during the trial if it is missing, as long as notifications are allowed for Edgewise. You will not get it if:

  • notifications are off for Edgewise,
  • you have not opened Edgewise since turning them on, or
  • by then there were less than 2 days of the trial left.

If you cancel the trial, the reminder is removed.

You can always check when your trial ends in the Settings app: tap your name, then Subscriptions.

Using Edgewise

Devices, reminders, accessibility and your progress.

Do I need an account?

No. There is nothing to sign up for and we never ask for your email. Your progress stays on your device, and Apple keeps track of your Pro purchase through your Apple Account.

Which devices does Edgewise work on?

iPhone and iPad running iOS or iPadOS 17 or later, from iPhone SE to the largest iPad, including foldable iPhones. On iPhone, Edgewise runs in portrait; on iPad and large foldable screens, it works in any orientation.

Edgewise is not available on Android. You can try a few of its games in any browser on our Play page.

Does my progress sync between devices?

No. Your training history is stored only on the device you practise on; we do not keep a copy on our servers. Pro works on every device signed in to the same Apple Account (use Settings → Restore purchases).

If you set up a new iPhone from a backup, or by transferring from your old one, iOS normally brings your Edgewise progress across too.

Does Edgewise work offline?

Yes. Lessons, drills, games and table play all run on your device. You need an internet connection only to buy or restore Pro.

How do I turn the daily reminder on or off?

Go to Settings → Reminders, switch on Daily training reminder and pick a time. iOS asks for permission the first time. If you said no before, allow notifications for Edgewise under Notifications in your device’s Settings app.

Edgewise only ever sends two kinds of notification: the daily reminder, if you turn it on, and the free-trial reminder. Both are scheduled on your device; there are no marketing notifications.

What accessibility features are there?

Edgewise follows your device’s VoiceOver, Larger Text, Bold Text, Reduce Motion and Increase Contrast settings. In Settings → Accessibility you will also find:

  • Color-blind palette: orange and blue instead of red and green.
  • Four-color deck (on by default): a different colour for each suit, so suits are easy to tell apart.

Haptics and sound effects can be switched off in Settings → Feedback.

How do I reset my progress?

Go to Settings → Data → Reset all progress and confirm. This erases every recorded decision, your table results, lesson progress and speed-round best. Your Pro purchase and your settings are kept. It cannot be undone.

How do I change my level?

Choose Beginner, Intermediate or Expert under Your level on the Train tab, or in Settings → Skill level. Edgewise adjusts the games, drills and grading to match.

Is Edgewise real-money gambling?

No. Edgewise is a training tool: every hand is simulated against computer opponents, there is no real-money gambling, and there is nothing to win. It is rated 18+ because it contains simulated gambling.

04

Privacy and data

No account, no ads, no tracking. The full details are in our Privacy Policy.

What data does Edgewise collect?

Your training history, the hands you play and the decisions you make, stays on your device. Edgewise sends anonymous usage analytics (which screens and drills are used, under a random ID that is not linked to you) to PostHog, and RevenueCat confirms your Pro purchase using a random anonymous ID. Apple handles payment; we never see your card or Apple Account details. There are no ads and no tracking.

Read the Privacy Policy for the complete list.

How do I turn off usage analytics?

Go to Settings → Data and switch off Share anonymous usage data. Edgewise stops sending usage events straight away. Everything else keeps working exactly as before.

How do I delete my data?

To erase your training history, use Settings → Data → Reset all progress. Deleting the app removes everything it stored on your device, including its random IDs; your Pro purchase stays with your Apple Account.

Usage analytics is not linked to your name, email or Apple Account, so we usually cannot tell which events are yours. For anything else, email support@edgewiseapp.co with “Privacy request” in the subject.

Problems and feedback

Something not right? Tell us and we will look into it.

How do I report a bug?

Email support@edgewiseapp.co and include:

  • Your app version: in the Settings app, go to General → iPhone Storage → Edgewise (iPad Storage on iPad).
  • Your device and iOS version: in General → About.
  • What happened: what you did, what you expected and what you saw instead.
  • A screenshot or screen recording, if you can.
I think a grade is wrong

Preflop decisions are graded against the app’s charts. When the strategy mixes between actions, choosing one it plays often is never marked wrong. At the table, postflop decisions are graded by expected value against your opponents’ ranges, through the river.

If a grade still looks off, send us a screenshot of the hand and the grade and we will check it.
